Braunlage is one of the most popular tourist destinations, and is located right next to the Harz National Park. Here you will find peace and relaxation, nature and many tracks and paths for hiking, mountain biking and Nordic Walking.
The city has plenty of free-time activities for every taste and demand. The spa garden with mountain flora and spa centre is the ideal place to go for a walk.
The ice rink and the summer theatre, the indoor swimming pool (with outdoor pool), the indoor and outdoor tennis centre, bowling alleys, a riding stable as well as several special events throughout the year ensure a memorable, active stay.
The historical cities of Goslar and Wenigerode as well as the spa cities of Bad Harzburg and Bad Lauterberg can easily be reached by car or public transport. Also, the train stations where the historical Brocken train stops can be found nearby.
